Beyond the Numbers

We've spent the last eight years helping businesses discover what their budgets are really telling them. Sometimes the most important insights come from the spaces between the spreadsheet cells.

How We Started

Back in 2017, I was sitting across from a small restaurant owner in Seoul who couldn't figure out why his profitable-looking business was always short on cash. His accounting looked fine on paper, but reality felt different.

That conversation changed everything. We realized most businesses weren't struggling with complex financial theories — they needed practical ways to align their actual spending patterns with their real goals.

What started as informal consulting sessions grew into Point-mark. We've worked with over 200 businesses across South Korea, from family-owned shops to mid-sized companies, helping them find breathing room in their budgets.

Our approach isn't about cutting costs everywhere. It's about understanding where your money creates the most value and adjusting from there.

Who We Are

We're a small team with complementary skills. Between us, we've seen most budget challenges that businesses face.

Senior Budget Strategist

Kiara spent five years at a regional bank before joining us. She has this ability to spot patterns in spending data that others miss. Her background in both traditional finance and small business lending helps bridge the gap between textbook theory and real-world cash flow challenges.

Financial Systems Analyst

Zander came from the tech side of finance. He builds the tools and processes that help our clients track their adjustments over time. His systems background means he thinks about sustainability — how to make budget changes that actually stick beyond the first few months.

Our Method

We don't start with assumptions about what needs to change. Every business has different pressure points, and cookie-cutter solutions usually create new problems.

Our process begins with understanding your actual spending patterns — not just what the budget says should happen, but what really does happen. We look at seasonal variations, unexpected expenses, and the gap between planned and actual costs.

  • We work with your existing systems instead of requiring expensive software changes
  • Adjustments are tested gradually to avoid disrupting daily operations
  • You retain full control over implementation timing and scope
  • Follow-up support helps maintain improvements long-term

Most clients see initial improvements within 60-90 days, with more significant changes taking shape over the following months.

What Our Clients Experience

The businesses we work with often tell us that the most valuable part wasn't just the money saved, but the clarity they gained about where their resources were actually going.

Manufacturing Company - Busan

This mid-sized manufacturer was experiencing cash flow issues despite steady orders. We discovered their inventory timing was creating unnecessary financing costs.

After adjusting their ordering schedule and payment terms, they freed up working capital equivalent to two months of operating expenses.

Retail Chain - Seoul Area

A growing retail business needed better visibility into per-location profitability. Their existing reports showed overall growth but masked underperforming stores.

New tracking methods helped them identify which locations needed operational changes versus which needed different product mixes.

Service Company - Daegu

This professional services firm wanted to expand but wasn't sure if their current margins could support additional staff and office space.

Budget modeling showed exactly how much new revenue they'd need to make expansion viable, and which services offered the best growth potential.
